Cuvée 2006

Grape varieties: 65 % Syrah, 35 % Grenache

Harvest: Hand harvest sorted on a sorting table.

Vinification: The grapes are de-stalked then cooled to 10°C and vatted for 35 days. During vatting the juice from the bottom of the vat is pumped over the cap daily. Malo-lactic fermentation in cement vats. Maturing 100 % in 1 to 2 year old French oak barrels made by NADALIE. 25% young barrels and 75% barrels that have held one wine.

Tasting Notes : The robe is crimson, the elegant and distinguished nose is a wide ranging palette that includes black fruit, blackberry, spice, liquorice and vanilla. It is powerful and well-fleshed in the mouth, where king Syrah gives of its best. This cuvée is well-suited to ageing. It is well-structured making it the perfect partner to game, cuts of red meat and cheeses with character.
